My story with meat ends

If there is will there is way is proven. If we have something experienced it by ourselves, doing anything based on our own experience is not impossible. I was a total meat lover especially beef shakam (Jerky). I felt taking meat was not good considering the sin we commit in the process. I tried to give up meat thrice in the past with this noble religious view. My religious minded friends who could successfully give up meat, tried to help me change my mind by showing various inhuman slaughtering of animals for meat. Despite all those effort, I failed miserably each time when I see shakam, my weakness!! Now after 4-5 years of continuous meat diet, here I am meat sober for past 5 months. Initially I thought I might fail like before and didn’t have guts to pen down my experience. The good thing  this time I don’t have craving  for meat. I don’t feel it missing in my diet. I no longer miss it. This time my reason for quitting meat was nothing like before. In October 2016,...

Some basic differences in cloud storage - not exhautive

Although I have been using Google Drive for past decade due to their usability and more free storage than other cloud service providers. I have used OneDrive and Dropbox to play around. When it come to Basic features, both are very similar with Sharing, Backup, Offline access, Security, Collaboration as their main point for sale. Dropbox gives 2 GB of space for free account whereas OneDrive provides 5GB with QUT account. Beyond  that we need to pay monthly or annually fee depending on our need with price being in same range.  Both also use similar reward system for the referral. When it comes to free storage, none can beat google for their free account 15GB and paid account 30GB of storage. OneDrive has more options to link with other services and app from microsoft. However, DropBox has linked with few other services. Incase of terms and conditions, both has comprehensive information on how they collect, use and handle our information when we use their websites, software...

My Journal - LIS Course

a reflection on why have chosen to undertake this course and join the information professions  As a school going kid, first office job I encountered was Librarian besides teachers. This was because my Aunty was one of the Librarians in the only Public Library in Bhutan. After 10th Standard, every winter break I used to volunteer at that Library where my Aunt worked. However, after 12th exam, I was qualified for Computer Science. Although it was not my interest, there was only so much we could do to change the subjects we take at College as the Library course was not being offered at the only college in Bhutan then. However, I got to work at Parliament of Bhutan after completion of my bachelors degree as an ICT Officer where I was fortunate to have on one small Library under my division. As a Information and Communication Officer, I always felt that I was my duty to enhance the library at the Parliament . Moreover, our Library has lots of hardcopy collections which are very h...
