Every day is a learning experience

The first time I read book was way back in 2003 when I was working part time at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck Public Library.The first book I read was one of Daniel Steel's books. I read few books of Daniel steel and Sidney Sheldon. I vividly remember reading this particular book, woman of Substance by Babarra Taylor as it was my favourite book from few that I have read that year. When I went back to college, I couldn't continue with reading as I was kinda book worm and always with my text books and I never had time to think about those frictions. After long gap, the first book I read is in 2010 which I could complete in a week. I admit that novel taking a week is very long for any regular reader but in my own record, I don't remember completing a book in less than two weeks. I feel good to be reading again. Recently, I thought I was spending so much time in facebook and minimize its usage but again I asked myself this question : What is facebook not! If we nicely balances the benefits and disadvantages, the first one out weigh the later. Facebook keeps us connected with all friends we already have on our friend list and it helps us find our old friend, make us meet new friends and helps us form human network. It is doing amazing job. Regarding the technology, it is very user friendly. Even a primary school kids can be found using facebook and we can just search and find everyone there. Meaning it makes just one place to find any one in entire world. If facebook is a country, it would be the largest one in the World. It can be considered as any application, it reports weather, staying in Brisbane, we can get weather report from any region by just being in our home. It keeps us updated of sports news by friends cheering for one another by putting the name of that in status which ever sports...

I have always thought that "Learning" is something that we do from books or teacher and also thought learning can only mean which is related to profession. Lately, I realized that Learning can mean anything from cooking to knowledge from books.Anything new to us can be considered learning. Staying with friends from different culture and background(international), helps us learn many new things everyday. I am learning to cook different things, talk in better ways, and all the good ways of bringing up a family. I am really into it and like what I am getting from it. As I learn I can feel the differences and values of these new things I learned. Interest changes with age and I feel my interest at this age is in cooking and family. I am eagerly waiting to get back home and make use of all the new things I have learned here. Well, Learning never stops is rightly said.

There is saying in Buddhist studies that there is no single animal or living being who was not our parents once. Whether that is true or not but the way we treat animals really affects the way they behave. The animals, especially dogs born in Australia or any other countries where people have habit of keeping pet are really lucky. People spent lots of money raising animal, though the count won't excess 2 or 3. People treat pet equal to human, in terms of diet, health and shelter. They keep any animals as pet, such as cat, snake, pig and dogs, among which the later one is popular. People don't treat dogs with junk, left over food like some one the Asian countries do. I was talking once to myself "that some of the animals born to people here are more fortunate than people in some other countries". Today 29/01/2101 is my first day at work after long break of 3 long months. Actually, it wasn't for me but since the full time people had meeting some of casuals were called to work. I felt good since I can get myself prepared before real work starts. The desk wasn't so busy, but never idle at any point. There was always something for me to do. I have another shift on Monday and quite excited about it too. I enjoy my work mainly because of different kind of people I get to meet. As usual, I meet some people today who were really grateful to what I did and there were few other people who was demanding something without proper reason and question to ask. Few people even think that, just because they were sent to Help Desk by someone, we have to solve the problem even if it not related to us. How could I ever stop face booking and do something else which will not waste time. Recently, I read in a paper regarding survey done on social site usage and Australia is considered to spend more time on social sites like facebook, twitter and blog spots more than other countries but it was only 6.5 hr per month whereas I might be spending more than that per week. So I am just thinking of doing something else in place of facebook. In nut shell, Minimise facebook usage. Still thinking what could be most effective way to go about.

Ekka Festival in Brisbane is festival that is celebrated for a period of ten days. The festival is held at the RNA Show grounds, 5 mins drive by train from Roma station in Brisbane City and usually starts on the second Thursday of August every year. During the Ekka Festival, the city of Brisbane along with the entire country come together to celebrate the great lifestyle and rich heritage of Queensland. The festival features a diverse range of industries such as art and crafts, fashion, cuisine and more. There were also many types of games for all age group. We group of Bhuatanese friends went to witness the famous festival and it was worth one. We had lot of fun playing and trying to win in everythin. Some of my friends brought lots of dolls and poohs home while some of us had good time by ending day with wild roller coster. "A day to be remembered"
